“Skill is an unconquered army” said George Herbert. For SMIS, Life skill is a vehicle for curriculum and academics. We believe that skills take years to develop and once developed it remains life long. Hence, we inculcate life skills in a child from the very beginning. We try and develop all the three set of skills in a child:
These skills not only help a child to grow inside out but also it helps one while working with peers. Every working Saturday calls for a common protocol across the grades at SMIS family to aim working towards developing life skills among children. The life skills sessions are mainly activity based so that children get a hands on experience, developing a positive behavior and enabling them to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of life.
